Cooking encourages children’s thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. It also allows the children the opportunity to use the knowledge they have and apply it by measuring, cause and effect, and counting. Parents and children cooking together teaches early math and science, encourages families to share meals more often, and get to know each other on a deeper level. The most important thing to remember is to have fun with your children as they have those learning experiences and learn about the joy of cooking.
Our family engagement specialists will be onsite during this event to assist you with finding child care and get you connected to other helpful community resources.
