All Things School Age for Family Child Care Providers

Are you a family child care provider? If so, then you know first hand the many challenges for caring for school age children in your mixed age environment. Unlike child care center teachers, family child care providers often care for children of many ages. Family child care providers may offer services for children as young as six weeks of age and many provide after school or summer care for older children as well. In this workshop, we will look at creating an environment which supports the development of school age children, along with strategies to meet the individual needs of those children. This workshop is especially designed for those working with children ages 5-12, in before-school, after-school, summer, and/or school break settings.
