Behaviors: What Children Communicate and How to Respond

Monday, November 19, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

  • « Safe Sleeping Practices and Reducing the Risk of SIDS in Child Care
  • Zero to Three: Providing Consistent and Responsive Caregiving »

Children’s social-emotional development and children’s behaviors go hand-in-hand. In this two-hour professional development session, participants learn how to identify what young children’s behavior communicates, as well as how to respond. To reinforce desired behaviors, early childhood staff can focus on teaching new skills. This face-to-face introductory session is appropriate for those who want to use effective social-emotional strategies to support children’s growth and positive behavior.
