Día del Niño at Be My Neighbor Day

with Reach Out and Read Indiana

Families with young children are invited for a celebrating of language and literacy! Activities include a concert, animal show, storytimes in English and Spanish, games, art, community resources, and more! Make sure to see Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat. Free books and giveaways for every child!

Play big games at the Playground, get a temporary tattoo at the Tattoo Parlor, and write letters to thank first responders at the Post Office. Get information from community partners in our neighborhood about food, housing, medical care, and more.

Please note:

  • Sensory Hour is from 9-10 a.m.
  • Sing and dance with the Latin-Grammy winning duo 123 Andrés at 10:45 a.m.
  • See animals up close with Silly Safaris at 12:30 p.m.
  • Storytimes from IndyPL librarians every half hour (English on the hour, Spanish on the half hour)

Made possible by College Choice 529 and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

This event is in partnership with WFYI and is supported by PNC Grow Up Great and Fred Rogers Productions.

Community partners include Child Care Answers, Reach Out and Read Indiana, and the Indiana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
