Dynamics of Domestic Violence

Tuesday, April 23, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

  • « CDA Portfolio Review: Individual Support
  • Orientation I Spanish-Overview for participants who are interested in starting the business of child care »

Have you ever wondered why people stay in abusive relationships? This engaging, hands-on session, presented by our partners at the Domestic Violence Network, will answer this question, while offering guidance on how to respond to those experiencing unhealthy or violent relationships. This session also includes the “In Her Shoes” simulation. This interactive experience walks participants through the story of someone experiencing domestic violence. Created by Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, it helps attendees to understand the difficult choices victims have to make, and witness the real life impact of violence on various communities.
