Intentional Observations

Observation is defined as “watching to learn” but what does this mean in an early childhood environment? We will discuss the importance of conducting observations and how we use the information we gain for planning. We will view multiple short video clips and practice writing quality observations. With the information you gather from observing, you are better able to plan developmentally appropriate experiences, select the right materials, and ask questions to scaffold learning.
