Lesson Planning For School Agers

Wednesday, October 25, 2017 @ 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm

  • « Falling in Love with Books
  • Safe Sleeping Practices and Reducing the Risk of SIDS in Child Care »

In this workshop, we will learn to align lesson plans with the Indiana Academic Standards and the Indiana Afterschool Standards. You will leave this training with knowledge of all the things you should take in to consideration when writing your lesson plans. We will talk about how to plan your lessons/experiences using child interest surveys and observations. and assessments as a guide. We will also discuss how you can ensure development across all key areas. Once we have discussed all of the logistics, we will take what we have learned and work together to plan a lesson. This training is especially designed for those working with children ages 5-12, in before-school, after-school, summer, and/or school break settings.
