Managing Food Allergies in Child Care

When children are in a high quality environment where their basic health, safety and nutrition needs are met, they are able to develop and learn at an optimal level. Food allergies present a unique challenge for child care providers. In this workshop, professionals will learn to recognize the difference between food allergies and food aversions. Strategies for supporting the child’s healthy development will be given, in addition to resources for the home.
