Millennials as Staff and as Parents

Millennials, born in the 80s and 90s, have been referred to as “the entitlement generation” and “the me generation.” They have been described as tolerant, confident, open-minded, and ambitious but also disengaged, narcissistic, distrustful, and anxious. What are the best strategies for working with staff and families of this generation and others? What things need to be in place for a harmonious relationship between the generations? We will investigate the different generations and explore the qualities each brings to the table.
