Pyramid Model Part 1: Setting Children Up for Success & Targeted Social Emotional Supports

Thursday, July 27 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

  • « Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Early Childhood Classroom – Part 1
  • Orientación 1 para abrirse un centro Infantil en Casa »

Child care professionals can join Lakeshore and SPARK for this training, which includes materials and dinner!

In this session, we will dive into tier 1 and tier 2 of the Pyramid Model to gain a better understanding of how to set children up for success and how to proactively teach social emotional literacy, rather than being reactive to unwanted behaviors. We will begin by discussing the components of a high-quality supportive environment, and how to ensure that our classroom is set up with those as the foundation. We will take the time to evaluate our classroom environment, and plan for any neededchanges. We will also learn the importance of developing nurturing and responsive relationships with each child in the classroom, as safe, secure relationships are the foundation to learning.
