Safe Sleeping Practices and Reducing the Risk of SIDS in Child Care

Participants will increase their understanding of a safe sleeping environment for infants, newborn to twelve months of age. Focus will be on creating a safe and healthy sleeping area and risk reduction strategies for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and accidental death prevention. This training is a pre-service requirement that satisfies Public Law 162-205 for home licensure, as well as Provider Eligibility Standards Certified home providers (CCDF Voucher). Child care providers from all settings are encouraged to attend this free training.
