The first half of this session welcomes Deanna Nibarger from Revelations in Education. Deanna Nibarger is also the Social and Emotional Behavior Coach in MSD Washington Township. In this capacity, Deanna teaches, plans, shares leads and facilitates opportunities to engage students, faculty and staff on illustrating the importance of neuroanatomy, the brain’s stress response and calming the brain through self regulation. The second part of this session will focus on the Expulsion and Suspension Policy elements. Participants will connect our morning discussion to how we can relate it to this new policy requirement. Participants will identify how their own policy supports each element for preventing and reducing expulsion and suspensions. Please bring your lunch!
