FULL Zero to Three: Promoting Imitation, Symbolic Representation, and Play

Children learn through self-motivated observation and exploration, educators can encourage, strengthen, and extend social learning by recognizing imitation, symbolic representation, and pretend play as important cognitive processes, identify teaching behaviors that encourage, strengthen, and extend these cognitive abilities, and recognize additional considerations to support the social learning of children form diverse populations.
