Support Changes

for families of young children

It was an honor to serve you last year as you searched for child care for your family or requested connections to broader supports. We know how difficult it can be to navigate the child care system in Indiana, whether you are looking for an opening, applying for financial assistance, or seeking a program that meets your family’s unique needs.  

Our ability to provide these essential services was funded by the Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL). OECOSL is sunsetting several contracts related to supports for families like yours. Child Care Answers (CCA) is among those organizations affected. 

With that said, you can continue to access referrals to child care programs and other wraparound supports through the OECOSL child care support line at 800.299.1627. You can also use the 211 website to search for resources independently or go to Brighter Futures Indiana for information. 

While we will no longer provide services to you directly, CCA will remain open as an organization, focusing most immediately on support for child care professionals. However, we are currently seeking funding and partnerships to enhance family supports with many of the services we have been privileged to provide to families like yours during especially vulnerable times. 

 We hope we have made a difference in your family’s life. Here’s how you might consider making a difference in CCA’s future as an organization: 

  • Get involved. Whether advocating for child care reform, joining our board, or volunteering, you can make a difference! Learn more. 
  • Share your story.  As CCA looks to expand our future work, your voice is essential. If you are willing, please share your story of how CCA supported your family. This will go a long way in helping us communicate the need in central Indiana to potential funders and community leaders.   
  • Stay informed. As our work shifts, we plan to share resources and news on our social channels, website, and through our mailing list. Sign up to receive emails and/or texts about future opportunities! For example, CCA will begin the process to implement a new strategic plan soon – we would love to count on you to share via focus group. 

We have loved serving you and your children and are honored to be part of your family’s journey.
