Mint chocolate chip is my absolute favorite. There is just something about the cool taste of mint paired with the crunch of chocolate chips!
Jamie, Family Engagement Specialist
My go-to really depends on my mood! I always lean towards a vanilla-based option and I am currently craving Lick Ice Cream‘s Gingersnap Lemon Curd! If you haven’t been, it is a great Indy ice cream shop. Also, LiftOff Creamery is right down the street off of 16th, and they have some really fun combinations too!
Kristin, Communications and Community Manager
If it has peanut butter in it, I’m ordering it. Waffle cones also always make any ice cream flavor taste a hundred times better. Like Jamie, my family is a fan of our neighborhood shop, LiftOff Creamery, which is also dangerously close to the CCA offices. I’ll occasionally try some of their seasonal flavors, but I always find my way back to their Payload – Ultimate Peanut Butter Brownie.

Java Chip is my favorite, because I love anything to do with coffee! The mention of lemon curd reminds me of The Scoop in Zionsville’s Lemoreo flavor (lemon custard with Oreo pieces). If I am not doing coffee, that is the flavor I am choosing.

Guanabana, also known as soursop, is a tropical flavor that reminds me of home. The flavor tastes like a mix of pineapple, strawberry, and citrus, with a hint of creamy vanilla. It’s my absolute favorite ice cream! When I am here in the States, I prefer the simplicity of strawberry from Cold Stone Creamery.
Lauren, Family Engagement Specialist
Every since I was little, my absolute favorite was chocolate chip cookie dough in waffle cone. We grew up in walking distance to a Ben and Jerry’s, so every special occasion we ended up there. While I still love cookie dough, the orange sorbet parfait from Handel’s is my jam!
Allie, Resource and Referral Specialist
I love anything with peanut butter cups, cookie dough, and brownie (yes all three!). I prefer them with vanilla ice cream because, you know, too much flavor can be overwhelming.
Sylvia, Program Resource Navigator
It’s sort of a tie between two for my favs, Oreo cookies and cream (that creaminess with soft cookies-so good!) and mint chocolate chip. I agree with Sarah, that cool mint with the crunch of the chip….mmmm, so refreshing! It really just depends on what mood I am in!
Eunice, Multicultural Community Engagement Specialist
Vanilla and strawberry would be my first choice, but I will eat any ice cream flavor in a waffle cone. The combination of the ice cream and the crunch of the cone is so yummy!
Skylar, Administrative Assistant
My all-time favorite is Bluebell rocky road. And yes, it is that specific! No other rocky road compares!
Rosy, Multicultural Family Engagement Specialist
Graham Central Station or pistachio from Sundae’s Homemade Ice Cream is where my heart is. It is a local shop near my in-laws’ and oh so tasty!
Mollie, Executive Director
Ben and Jerry’s has a great dairy free selection with an oat milk base, which makes it so creamy. My go-to flavor is Cherry Garcia – the combo of chocolate and cherry is divine!
