How to Register for a Session

I-LEAD is here, and it’s a simpler way for your to manage your licensing, background checks and professional development. Included in I-LEAD is a new way to access and register for face-to-face and online sessions: Indiana Learning Paths.

Going forward, here are the steps you’ll need to take to register for professional development in Indiana Learning Paths:

Create an I-LEAD Account

Educators Working with a Child Care Program

If you currently work for a child care program, you must activate your account via an email invitation sent by your program’s director.  More on activating your account.

  1. Click the link in your email.
  2. Click Login even though you don’t have an account yet.
  3. Click Sign up now at the bottom of the screen.

New Programs, Families, and Community Members

  1. To create a new account in I-LEAD, go to ilead.in.gov.
  2. Click Login, even though you don’t have an account yet.
  3. Click Sign up now at the bottom of the screen.

Log in to I-LEAD and Indiana Learning Paths

Next find a course. Click Courses on the left side, then see the search bar or the side menu to browse by topic. Within each of the topics, you can narrow your search further by:

  • Age Group: Infant, Toddler, Preschool, or School Age
  • Level: Introductory, Intermediate, or Advanced trainings

Some other useful filters include:

  • Mandatory: Licensing and Paths to QUALITY (PTQ)
  • Modality: Face-to-Face, Live Webinar, or Online

Find Your Desired Course

Next find a course. Click Courses on the left side, then see the search bar or the side menu to browse by topic. Within each of the topics, you can narrow your search further by:

Register for Your Course

Once you find your course, take steps to begin your learning. You’ll see different buttons, depending on the type of course:

  • Register: Click the blue register button for any online course that does not require a particular time or date. Once you click the button, you’ll be directed to a page with more info on the course. Click the name of the course to start.
  • Start: You’ll see a green start button for any courses for which you’ve already registered.
  • Select Date: The orange Select Date button appears for live webinars and face-to-face courses. After you click the button, you’ll see a page with different options for dates and times. Click the blue Register button next to your desired session to complete the registration.
